Challenge:  The Client faced many challenges common to an organization that is growing and managing multiple locations over a large geographical area:

  1. Managed customer pick-up and delivery requests using spreadsheets which were emailed between locations, customers and partners.
  2. Sales and marketing functions were dispersed between corporate and locations, with spotty communications often resulting in lost sales.
  3. Using Microsoft Dynamics SL (Solomon) as back-end accounting system and needed to integrate with CRM solution.

Solution:  Idea Dynamics Solutions architected and implemented a phased solution using Microsoft Dynamics CRM as the development platform to speed development time and provide an integrated CRM solution. The team assisted in issue resolution, developed monitoring tools, deployed software updates, and provided production support for multiple integrations. Specifically, Idea Integration ERP/CRM:

  1. Deployed Microsoft Dynamics CRM Integrated with Microsoft Dynamics accounting application.
  2. Developed complex workflows within Microsoft Dynamics CRM to help manage the flow of information.
  3. Implemented SQL Server Reporting Services for complex reporting requirements.

Benefits:  The resulting system provides real-time access to customer, vendor and location data across various business processes and applications.  In addition, using Microsoft Dynamics CRM as the platform enabled the client to manage many maintenance items and new development efforts in-house.  The following benefits were also realized by the client:
